Heather Allen
Business Owner
I began working at The Treatment Rooms in 2014 in the role of Front of House. I would enjoy my days welcoming clients and recommending treatments and products and ensuring that the day-to-day running of the salon was as smooth as possible for clients and therapists alike!

As The Treatment Rooms expanded and the founder, Hayley Borthwick, had established her second business, HiBrow Cosmetic Clinic, The Treatment Rooms needed a new owner and someone that could be dedicated to uphold the salon's reputation and take it forward. So, in 2018 I decided to take the reins and have never looked back!
​
It's no secret that I am not a trained therapist! Shocking! After years in retail management and being from a customer service background, I am always looking at how we can make the best environment for the client. I am passionate about the little touches and the attention to detail that are unique to The Treatment Rooms. I want every client to feel they have had a spa experience whether they have been just for an eyebrow shape or one of our indulgent massage treatments.

My proudest moment as a business owner has to be seeing The Treatment Rooms being a finalist at the Professional Beauty Awards for Best Boutique Salon. To be one of five salons shortlisted in the entire UK is a huge achievement and testament to the incredible team and spa ethos we have here.

In 2008 I decided to retrain and found myself drawn to the beauty industry as I have always had a passion for skincare, skin health and holistic treatments.

I have been fortunate to have worked with a wide range of brands and offer amazing treatments consistently for the past 15 years. I pride myself on making sure every client feels their best and enjoy providing treatments to build confidence in my clients and make them feel fantastic. My passion remains with skincare and sense of wellbeing but I love the variety of this incredible industry.

During my spare time I love spending time with my family and getting outdoors.

I have worked in salons since I was 15 years old as a Saturday Girl and then undertaking my NVQ 2 and 3 qualifications in Beauty Therapy. As I have gained experience I have also done extra qualifications in eyelash extensions, advanced massage techniques and advanced skin treatments to broaden my horizons and knowledge.
I love holistic treatments such as massage and facials. The feeling of your clients being zen afterwards is the best feeling and to also know that I will have relieved them from any discomfort to help them. It's why I became a therapist! I enjoy discussing skin concerns and problems with the client to advise treatments and products that will really benefit them.

In my spare time I love being with my friends and family - going out and making memories. I also love to collect crystals and understanding their powers. We have also added these to some of our treatments and I love to pass on these to my clients to help them meditate or focus their mind.
On a Saturday I do like a Pink G&T too!

I have passion for all things skin care and a deep love for having several cleansers on the go at ones.
I most enjoy offering relaxing treatments and truly believe in the importance of investing in yourself - if that's having an hour or two to unplugged with a relaxing massage or offloading with a listening ear, I am here for you.
In my spare time I am a busy mum of two beautiful girls I love making memories with my friends and family and enjoying a gin or two on the weekends after all we are here for a good time not a long time.

Since being young, I have always had a passion for beauty.
I like to ensure that I do everything I can to make my client feel comfortable and welcome but most of all they should always feel at peace during a treatment. Since being at college I have had amazing opportunities and I have learnt different techniques both within spas in the UK and also worldwide in Malta and South Korea, where I learnt a range of different techniques for my massage and also Indian head massage. During this time I was shown different etiquette whilst experiencing it myself. Whilst in Korea I learnt that their standard of beauty is based on skincare and nail art, however, in Malta the treatments were more holistic.
I most enjoy offering relaxing treatments and truly believe in the importance of investing in yourself - if that's having an hour or two to unplugged with a relaxing massage or offloading with a listening ear, I am here for you. My passion is definitely holistic treatments such as massage and facials. I am consistently improving and learning new techniques to ensure that my clients can get the maximum benefit out of their treatment.
