The Treatment Rooms
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy
All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Closing The Treatment Rooms before the official lockdown was a heart breaking decision but an incredibly important one as the wellbeing and safety of our clients, our team and our families is always our priority. Lockdown has been a challenging time for us all, but we are so proud of our team, community and country for pulling together through this time and the acts of kindness and generosity shines through at these times. Now, we are in a position to move forward we have set out our Coronavirus Prevention and Control Policy to ensure that we operate in the safest possible way.
We have missed being able to offer you the treatments that we know you love, and we are looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.
Before Your Appointments
24hours before your booking you will receive a COVID-19 Questionnaire. This is to confirm that you understand our "new normal" guidelines and that you are fit and well to attend your appointment.
If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
We have amended our cancellation policy so that as long as you contact us before your appointment, we will not charge the usual 50% late cancellation fee. Clients who do not show for their appointment and do not contact us beforehand will still be charged 50% of their treatment cost. If you have paid a deposit at the time of booking your appointment, this will be transferred to your next appointment after 2 weeks.
If any of our team feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again or ask for a full refund.
Visiting the Salon
For your safety and to maintain social distancing, we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving. We will be spacing times in between clients to ensure that we are able to thoroughly clean in between each client. Please do not bring any children or other family members to your appointment (unless they are having a treatment also). Should you require any support for your visit, please contact us and we will offer assistance as required.
Please wait to be greeted at the door by your therapist and sanitise your hands using the alcohol-gel provided.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products every hour and after each client for nail desks/pedicure stations and treatment rooms.
All tools will be disinfected and sterilised between each client. Disposable products will be used as single use items for each client and will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection. Nail files/buffers that are used during your treatment will be labelled and used for your next visit to cut down on unnecessary waste and limit our environmental impact.
Face masks will be compulsory for all clients from Saturday 8th August unless you have a medical condition which means that you are exempt from wearing one - proof of this may be asked on your arrival to the salon. Masks are available to purchase for £1 if you have forgotten your own. Prior to this new legislation we have been encouraging clients to wear masks as a courtesy to other clients in and around the salon.
Please don’t be surprised or upset if we use personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves / facemasks / aprons where appropriate.
We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority we can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees celsius.
All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area throughout the day as often as necessary.
Government Guidelines state that patch testing is compulsory for all clients for tint and lash lifting products. Patch tests are available during salon hours, no appointment necessary - we just ask that if there are clients at the reception desk checking in or out of the salon, that you wait at the door and a member of the team will be with you as soon as possible.
During your treatment
We understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.
We will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.
After the treatment
In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay for your treatment in full through our booking site or alternatively by card in salon. Cash/Gift Vouchers will still be accepted if this is not possible/convenient.
All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and our team. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
Thank you for your understanding.
